The Rooster Report 6.10.2011

In this weeks headlines :

Piper of the Rhode Island Reds

Piper, of the famous Rhode Island Reds family, was arrested and charged with two misdemeanor counts on Wednesday.  The charges stem from  an altercation with one of  the Orpington twins, who you may recognize from their voice over work on the game Angry Birds.

The Orpington Twins

Witnesses say the three had passed each other in a tight walkway when Piper began accusing the twins of being flighty.  In a flurry of feathers they ended up on the floor, with Piper standing over  Buffy holding her by the back of the neck.  When authorities arrived, Piper tried to flee the scene adding  the charge of Resisting Arrest  to the charge of Assault and Battery.  She is now in custody and awaiting a trial date to be set.

Big Daddy Roo

In our next story,  Big Daddy Roo has cancelled the next few days of his sold out summer tour.  Known for his  cover of the Beatle's song, "Good Day Sunshine", Cat Steven's "Morning has broken" and more recently " Walking on Sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves.   Insiders say over use of the songbird's golden voice has cause a strain on his vocal cords  and he is unable to crow as loudly for now.  His publicist issued a statement that with a little rest, he is expected to make a full recovery.

Construction on the newly added North Wing has been completed for now with only one or two more things planned on being added at a future date.  Residents applauded the use of shade cloth in the heat and joyfully discussed the plans of the automatic watering and misting system that is now being designed and developed by the Chicken Little Corp.  A spokesperson for the corporation said there are already  plans in the works for doubling the size for the new wing.
